You already have a problem in mind. Good. Now defend it. Answer these 5 questions honestly.

⏱ Use this during Phase 1 (first 30 min) While other teams are discovering their problem, stress-test yours. Most "known" problems are shallower than they appear.

What do people currently do to cope with this problem?
And why is that not good enough?

Every problem already has a workaround. Your solution needs to be meaningfully better.

Is this a problem people have or a problem people feel?
Functional vs. emotional. Both are valid, but you need to know which one you're solving.

What would the world look like if this problem disappeared?
Be specific — not "people would be happier" but what would actually change?

Why hasn't anyone solved this yet?
There's always a reason. Technical? Political? No one cared enough? No market?

If you can't answer this, investigate — someone may have already solved it.
